Product description
Olive-derived squalane is a versatile emollient for cosmetic formulations. It is the stable, hydrogenated form of squalene, a natural component of skin sebum. The clear, odourless liquid is characterised by a light sensory profile and a non-greasy finish.
Our squalane is obtained from the unsaponifiable fraction of European olive oil and is free from palm oil. Thanks to its plant origin, it is suitable for a variety of natural cosmetics and care concepts.
In formulation terms, squalane offers good spreadability, a light sensory profile and high oxidative stability. As a neutral formulation component, it can be integrated into numerous formulation concepts and combined with a variety of lipophilic actives and oils.
Squalane can be used in facial serums, fluids, creams, sun care products, sensitive skin care and hair care formulations.
