Product description

Cold-pressed organic argan oil is a versatile plant oil for cosmetic formulations. The golden-yellow oil has a slightly nutty scent and a characteristic sensory profile, and is suitable for a wide range of skin and hair care formulations.

Argan oil is obtained from the kernels of the fruit of the argan tree. Our cold-pressed organic argan oil comes from Morocco and is produced by mechanical pressing. Cold pressing preserves the characteristic scent and natural colour of the oil.

In formulation terms, argan oil is characterised by its composition of oleic, linoleic and palmitic acid. As a plant-based base oil, it can be incorporated into oil blends as well as emulsions and hair care formulations.

The product is suitable for facial and body oils, emulsions, shampoos, hair treatments and other cosmetic formulations.

Obtained by pressing without external heat, then filtered – neither refined nor deodorised.

The term ‘cold-pressed’ means that the oil has been obtained by pressing without the application of external heat and then filtered. It is neither refined nor deodorised. The term gives no precise indication of the temperature actually reached.

Cold-pressed oils have a limited shelf life and – with a few exceptions – should not be heated to high temperatures.
