Product description
Cold-pressed organic rosehip seed oil, also known as wild rose oil, is a distinctive speciality oil for cosmetic formulations. The orange-red oil is characterised by its distinctive fatty acid profile and a nutty, green natural scent.
To produce it, the dried seeds of the rosehip are gently cold-pressed. Processing the oil as a virgin oil preserves its characteristic natural colour and scent.
In formulation terms, rosehip seed oil is characterised by its high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid are particularly characteristic, complemented by oleic acid. This fatty acid profile makes the oil an interesting formulation component for light, lipid-rich care concepts. It can be used neat or as a proportion of oil blends, serums and emulsions.
The product is suitable for facial oils, serums, night care, emulsions and other cosmetic formulations. The natural orange-red colour should be taken into account during product development.
