Organic linseed oil is a distinctive plant oil for food applications and is characterised by its high proportion of alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3). The golden-yellow oil has a pronounced natural odour of linseed and gives food recipes a typical, natural sensory profile.
The oil is obtained by gentle cold pressing from linseed. Virgin processing preserves the characteristic colour and the typical natural odour of the oil.
The fatty acid profile is shaped in particular by alpha-linolenic acid, complemented by linoleic acid, oleic acid and palmitic acid. Owing to its high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids, linseed oil is particularly suitable for cold applications and should not be heated strongly.
Obtained by pressing without external heat, then filtered – neither refined nor deodorised.
