Product description
Cold-pressed organic baobab oil is a rich plant oil for cosmetic formulations. The pale yellow oil has a very mild, nutty scent and a pleasant sensory profile, and is suitable for a wide range of skin and hair care formulations.
The oil is obtained by gentle cold pressing from the seeds of the baobab, also known as the monkey bread tree. Processing the oil as a virgin oil preserves its characteristic colour and mild natural scent.
In formulation terms, baobab oil is characterised by its composition of palmitic, oleic and linoleic acid. The high palmitic acid content contributes to the oxidative stability of the oil. At the same time, its balanced fatty acid profile makes baobab oil a rich formulation component for care concepts that call for a richer oil phase and sensory profile.
The product is suitable for facial and body oils, hand care, emulsions, balms, massage oils and hair care formulations.
