Tucuma Butter organic

Organic Tucuma Butter is a plant-based butter obtained from the seeds of the tucuma palm (Astrocaryum vulgare). This pale yellow to cream-colored butter has a firm, paste-like consistency at room temperature and a melting range of 30–32 °C. It is a versatile raw material suitable for a wide range of cosmetic formulations.

Its fatty acid profile is dominated by lauric and myristic acids, complemented by palmitic, stearic, and oleic acids. The high proportion of saturated fatty acids contributes to the butter’s structure and consistency.

In cosmetic formulations, Tucuma Butter offers a pleasant sensory profile, good spreadability, and a lightweight skin feel. It can be used in both emulsions and anhydrous formulations to help build texture and consistency.

Typical applications include skincare creams and lotions, body care products, balms, body butters, lip care, stick formulations, hair masks and conditioners, as well as hair styling and shine-enhancing products.
