Black Cumin Seed Oil cold-pressed, organic (Egypt)

Organic cold-pressed black cumin seed oil from Egypt is a distinctive speciality oil for cosmetic formulations. The brownish oil has an intense, spicy natural odour and is characterised by its high linoleic acid content and natural accompanying substances. Because of its pronounced sensory profile, it is typically used as a partial component of formulations.

The oil is obtained by gentle cold pressing of Nigella sativa seeds from Egypt. Its Egyptian origin is a characteristic quality feature of this black cumin seed oil. Because it is not refined, the oil retains its typical colour and intense, spicy natural odour.

From a formulation perspective, the fatty acid profile is shaped in particular by linoleic acid, complemented by oleic acid, palmitic acid and eicosadienoic acid, which is characteristic of this oil. Black cumin seed oil also naturally contains a proportion of essential oil. The oil can be combined as a partial component with base oils and incorporated into oil blends and the oil phase of emulsions. Its intense natural odour should be taken into account when developing the fragrance concept.
