Coconut Oil refined (RBD), organic

Refined organic coconut oil combines the characteristic processing properties of coconut oil with a sensorially neutral grade. At room temperature it is a white, solid fat that becomes liquid and clear at higher temperatures. Thanks to its neutral odour, it can be used flexibly in formulations with different fragrance concepts.

The coconut oil is obtained from the flesh of the coconut and then refined. Refining reduces colour and natural odour, resulting in a sensorially subtle grade for a wide range of cosmetic applications.

From a formulation perspective, the fatty acid profile is dominated by lauric and myristic acid, complemented by palmitic and oleic acid. Its characteristic melting behaviour makes coconut oil a versatile consistency factor for balms, emulsions and other anhydrous formulations. In soap making, the fatty acid profile contributes to hardness and lather.

The product is suitable for soaps, creams and lotions, balms, body care and hair care formulations. For formulations in which the characteristic coconut scent is desired, virgin organic coconut oil is also available.
